Fixed term, full-time opportunity available for 12 months.

Exciting opportunity to provide expert advice and support to the Open Music Academy, including event management, program development and operational processes.


The Manager Open Music Academy (OMA), is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the OMA including all aspects of the regional community connections project.

In conjunction with the Business Manager and the Director of the Elder Conservatorium, the Manager OMA will contribute to the implementation of a new look business model and program structure for the OMA including budgeting, staffing, tour planning, programming, resource & event management and stakeholder relationships.


To be successful you will need:

  • Substantial previous management experience and / or demonstrated skills in strategic planning.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in music / music education.
  • Highly developed organisational skills and demonstrated ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently, show initiative and work productively as part of a team.
  • Highly developed written and verbal communication skills and the ability to liaise with a wide variety of stakeholders.
This position requires a valid Working with Children Check.
