**The Conservatorium is seeking a Brass musician and academic with proven research and teaching capabilities in the discipline of music, both in solo and ensemble settings.**

You will contribute to the Conservatorium’s reputation for excellence in teaching; produce impactful research outputs; and act as an advocate for music within academic and community contexts.

In this role, you will help develop an environment of professional excellence, creativity in the field of Brass, and promote and enhance the national and international profile of the Conservatorium and the University.

**To be successful you will need**:

- A doctorate in music in an area relevant to the Conservatorium’s research aspirations.
- Significant professional standing in the field of music, including a proven record as a professional performer in solo and ensemble settings.
- Demonstrated excellence in teaching music within a university environment, both in solo and ensemble settings, alongside an awareness of contemporary challenges in music pedagogy.
- Demonstrated ability to contribute to the development of scholarship, research and engagement within the Conservatorium including the ability to work effectively as a member of a team.
- Extensive knowledge of industry and stakeholder markets with a proven track record in domestic and international recruitment.
- This position requires a valid Working with Children Check._
