The Role
Join our Artisanal AU Design client in Sydney as a Pattern Maker.

  • Our divine client designs with purpose; always striving to curate collections with respect to sustainable practices and a focus on supporting artisanal communities. They are adored for their exaggerated shapes, unique handcrafted embroidery & eclectic natural têxtiles.
  • As the Pattern Maker will be responsible for creating and developing patterns for contemporary women's fashion garments. You will require a high level of technical expertise and impeccable attention to detail, as well as a thorough understanding of garment construction and design.
  • Minimum 3 years of pattern making experience, ideally in contemporary women's fashion
  • Excellent knowledge of garment construction and design
  • Exceptional technical skill set in pattern making and grading
  • Proficiency in industrystandard pattern making software, preferably Lectra
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • A strong willingness to innovate, learn and problemsolve
  • Able to meet project deadlines and prioritise tasks yo the needs of the design and production teams

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and develop contemporary womenswear patterns
, ensuring accuracy and efficiency

  • Ensure all patterns meet design specs
  • In collaboration with the Design team, develop new styles & designs
  • In collaboration with the Production team, ensure patterns are optimised for production
  • Consistently maintain the artisanal quality of the garment
  • Adjust patterns as required, to ensure desired fit and style
  • Conduct fits and make alterations
  • Understand & stay up to date with current fashion trends and techniques in pattern making
  • Bring new & innovative ideas to the design team by experimenting with new materials, techniques and processes
