Childcare Centre Co-ordinator

Specific tasks include:
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant laws;
- Providing leadership to the team on a daytoday basis;
- Ensuring the appropriate levels of qualified staff always, following staff to child ratios;
- Assist Ensuring effective planning and delivery of a curriculum which meet the desired outcomes of the Early Years Learning framework, in conjunction with the Educational Leader, provide mentoring to the Educational Leader;
- Assist in Rostering;
- Overseeing physical facilities, including arranging repair and maintenance as required;
- Ensuring the centres philosophy, all policies and procedures are implemented and monitored at all times;
- Assisting in the updating policies and procedures to ensure that they comply with the regulations;
- Ensuring WHS compliance;
- Working in the rooms as required;
- Other tasks as directed by the approved provider.
This includes collaborating with third party agencies, parents and educators, as well as mentoring educators to implement effective strategies to ensure the needs of the child are met.
It is a requirement of this position to ensure that you keep up to date with current developments early childhood care and education including, but not limited, to changes in the regulatory environment.
The Child Care Centre co-ordinator must be organised and possess excellent time management skills and be able to assist and support a collaborative work environment, have a sound knowledge & understanding of the NSW Education and Care Services National Regulations, National Quality Framework, The Early Years Framework and other legislation applicable to the profession.
