Reporting to the Chief Transformation and Technology Officer, this position will ensure Council continues to enhance its data management and insights, analytics and customer self-service capabilities' across the organisation.

This key leadership role will establish and maintain council-wide data governance processes and practices for the development and support of system integration services and platforms, while also implementing an expanded range of analytics and digital services and transactional capabilities across GIS and data and analytics platforms.

As the Head of Data and Digital, this role will ensure reliability of technical platforms, and alignment to Target Operating Model, while managing key projects and large, external vendor arrangements.

This role leads a high performing, multi-functional team to drive the delivery of exceptional outcomes for the organisation and community.


To be considered for this role, you will be a proven collaborative and contemporary leader, with the ability to work cross functionally to influence, negotiate and deliver.

You will have held senior digital and data position previously, in aligned operating environments, with experience managing modern data platforms in the Cloud.

You will demonstrate a sound ability to build relationships and navigate complex landscapes to achieve outcomes and impact.

You have experience establishing and maintaining organization-wide data governance and processes and practices, and an ability to deliver continuous improvement of business systems to meet customer and business expectations, in a DevSecOps environment.

You are known for your ability to build and lead high performing teams, creating cultures of high performance, continuous improvement, and customer centricity.
