Leading Insurance business require a Data Platform Manager is embarking on a transformative journey known as the Digital Insurer (DI) program, aimed at streamlining its technology landscape and enhancing operational efficiency. This pioneering initiative involves significant technological platform upgrades, process enhancements, and an overhaul of delivery capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the identification, creation, and management of non-prod data management capabilities essential for DET platform and application delivery squads to achieve DI objectives.
  • Conduct enablement activities, including knowledge transfer and training sessions, to empower DET delivery squads in adopting and utilizing these capabilities seamlessly.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives based on stakeholder feedback, squad needs, and future projections.
  • Establish best practice standards, guidelines, and patterns for non-prod data management within DET.
  • Evaluate and implement appropriate tooling to enhance non-prod data management capabilities.
  • Collaborate with counterparts across other Digital Insurer delivery areas to foster reuse, common practices, and tooling alignment.
  • Champion the shift-left approach, bringing capabilities closer to the engineering space to unlock development potential.
  • Provide comprehensive status reporting on capability buildout and adoption to relevant forums.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in leading non-prod data management capabilities within complex technology transformation programs.
  • Strong expertise in dataset specification, generation, and management for development and testing purposes.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive adoption of new capabilities through effective enablement activities.
  • Excellent communication skills with the capacity to collaborate across diverse teams.
  • Proficiency in evaluating and implementing tooling solutions to optimize non-prod data management.
  • Databricks & DBT – Desirable
  • Prior experience in an insurance or financial services environment preferred.
