About the Role
An excellent career development opportunity for a
Field Development Planner to join the Santos team.

Based at our offices in Brisbane, the primary objective will be to assist in strategic decision making for assigned areas, including framing scope of future projects and final investment decisions within the Cooper Basin.

You will also provide support to Northern Territory subsurface teams as required.

Key accountabilities:

  • Provide visibility of Subsurface priorities through field and mediumterm plans
  • Build and maintain development planning models
  • Deliver business targets through the development of field development plans
  • Support delivery of key business processes, such as Long-Term Plan, Portfolio, Budget, and Reserves as required.
  • Evaluate the economic viability of development scenarios in conjunction with the economics analysis team
  • Present development plans to senior management and joint venture partners as required
  • Effective and timely collaboration with internal and external stakeholders as required
  • Contribute to delivering on cost reduction efficiencies and value creation strategies as directed

About You

  • Significant experience in technical or commercial disciplines, including drilling and completions, oil and gas exploration, production, operations and/or development
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Visio
  • Proven selfstarter and selfguided, with the ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively with key stakeholders
Further to this any experience in the following will be looked upon favourably:

  • Experience and understanding of upstream oil and gas operations including the various phases of the well life cycle
  • SQL, R Studio/Python
  • SharePoint and Microsoft PowerApps power user
