About the Role:

Reporting to the Chief Customer & Operations Officer (CCOO), you will lead the Shared Services team to develop and implement strategies for the delivery of shared services across Customer and Operations.

This will include the tracking and monitoring of Business Performance and Customer metrics across our General Insurance claims function, managing the Divisional budget process, and engagement throughout the Enterprise on Projects and matters impacting the Division.

In this critical role you will ensure that all business plans, strategies, and processes align with and consistently support the on-going development, profitability and success of Allianz, including shaping and leveraging global initiatives/best practice.


Other key aspects of the role:

  • Lead the identification, and monitoring of operational improvement opportunities in both customer and partner experience as these relate to the Shared Services unit.
  • Provide support to the CCOO on all matters impacting the Division including Board, Regulatory, Governance and Group requirements.
  • Engagement with key stakeholders to drive improvements in efficiency, effectiveness, customer and risk outcomes.
  • Ensure the delivery of business reporting and analytics to enable effective and timely decision making and ensure end to end visibility of the claim journey.
  • Nurture internal and external stakeholder and business partnerships through proactive, collaborative and effective communication and sharing of management information.

Important to your success:

  • Extensive experience leading a finance, support and/or analytics function in a medium to large organisation.
  • Advanced financial acumen including budgeting, and financial analysis.
  • Common sense and the ability to "join the dots".
  • Written and verbal communication skills to communicate at all levels of the organisation.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the general insurance industry and/or related functions would be an advantage but not essential.
