The Role

The Supervisor oversees the maintenance of various fire safety systems, managing service schedules, leading technical staff, ensuring safety compliance, and maintaining customer satisfaction. This role requires autonomy and teamwork to deliver exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Personnel Management:
  • Supervision: Lead and supervise service technicians, offering guidance, support, and feedback.
  • Training: Provide ongoing training on fire protection technologies and safety practices.
  • Scheduling: Manage work schedules for timely service delivery.
  • Operational Oversight:
  • Service Coordination: Plan and coordinate servicing for various fire safety systems.
  • Quality Control: Ensure services meet high standards and comply with regulations.
  • Problem Resolution: Address technical issues and customer complaints promptly.
  • Administrative Duties:
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate service records and compliance reports.
  • Budget Management: Assist in budgeting and optimize resource allocation.
  • Reporting: Generate reports on service performance and customer satisfaction.
  • Customer Relations:
  • Client Interaction: Act as the main contact for client inquiries and maintain strong relationships.
  • Service Agreements: Manage contracts and ensure terms are met efficiently.
  • Compliance and Safety:
  • Regulatory Adherence: Ensure services comply with regulations.
  • Safety Practices: Enforce safety protocols within the team.

Ideal Profile

Skills and Experience

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role
  • Driver's license
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Eagerness to learn and upskill
  • Passion for the Fire Protection Industry
  • Understanding of OH&S
  • Ability to manage site inductions, paperwork, and time sheets on mobile devices.

Desirable Qualifications and Skills:

  • Fire Safety Assessor (FSA) accreditation
  • FPAS (Fire Protection Accreditation Scheme)
  • Current blue/White card
  • Experience with Uptick and FireMate
  • EWP license
