Fire Alarm Systems Technician

We are looking for a Fire Alarm Systems Technician to play a crucial role in safely maintaining facility infrastructure and critical systems at OASIS. This position involves providing expert service in the repair and maintenance of all fire alarm equipment within the facility. You'll be responsible for tasks such as inspections, repairs, coordination with other teams, and ensuring the effective operation of the fire alarm systems.

Responsibilities

  • Inspection, testing, and maintenance of fire systems and associated infrastructure as per standards.
  • Repairs and installations of fire systems and infrastructure.
  • Programming of Notifier system.
  • Coordination with operational and maintenance teams for life safety system requirements.
  • Complete understanding and awareness of all facility infrastructure and systems.
  • Inspection of fire extinguishers.
  • Training site personnel on life safety system operations.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Essential Requirements

  • NICET II or III Certification in Fire Alarm Systems.
  • Strong knowledge of Work Health Safety (WHS) Act and EHS policies.
  • Experience in Facility Maintenance or similar technical environments.
  • Understanding of electrical infrastructure and equipment terminology.
  • Familiarity with facilities equipment, O&M requirements, and maintenance protocols.

Desirable Qualifications

  • NICET I or II in Fire Special Hazards.
  • NICET I or II in Inspection and Testing of Water Based Systems.
  • Experience with Notifier systems.
  • Trade qualification and ERP experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years in a similar role.
  • Experience with a variety of fire systems and suppression equipment is advantageous.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be medically fit for physical tasks associated with the role, including lifting loads and accessing maintenance environments.

Security Clearance Requirement

Employees must obtain and maintain the necessary security and medical clearances for their role.

US employees need a TS/SCI clearance with poly.

Statement of Work Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English.

EHS Requirement

All OASIS personnel must comply with the site's environmental, health, and safety protocols.

  • Complete tasks safely.
  • Report any safety concerns.
  • Adhere to EHS procedures.
  • Have the right to stop work if conditions are unsafe.
