Reporting to the Manager, MHAOD Planning Unit, MHAOD Strategy and Planning Branch, you will lead and contribute to specified planning, infrastructure, activities or projects related to mental health alcohol and other drug issues to support Queensland Health led initiatives and priorities.

You will undertake critical analysis of quantitative and qualitative data and information and develop state-wide system service needs analysis, plans, positions and planning products to inform future service, policy, governance, planning and purchasing/commissioning decisions.

The successful person

To excel in this position, you must possess strong research and critical analysis skills, enabling you to translate health literature, qualitative and quantitative data, and information into relevant products such as system assessments, strategic plans or state-wide service plans.

You will have demonstrated experience in developing service and system planning products within a large and complex service delivery organization, preferably with a focus on mental health and/or alcohol and other drug services in Queensland.

You should also have a proven ability to effectively project manage complex and time-critical projects, highlighting adaptability and responsiveness to changing priorities and competing demands.


Additionally, you must possess high-level negotiation, consultation, facilitation, and verbal communication skills, complemented by your experience in cultivating productive working relationships and partnerships with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders.
