The Senior Tech BA – Cyber, will support the delivery of the University's Cyber Security Enablement Program which is a multi year initiative designed to materially reduce the exposure to cyber security risk through the implementation of technology and business changes. The primary purpose of the Senior Tech BA- Cyber, is the delivery of business, technical and process analysis associated with Program Initiatives and support for implementation of organizational change management strategies.

Accountabilities include:

  • Analysis of stakeholder objectives and facilitation of scoping and business priority-setting for change initiatives of small - medium size and complexity.
  • Investigation of operational requirements, problems, and opportunities, seeking effective business solutions through improvements in automated and/or process change.
  • Analysis and documentation of current and future (desired) state and associated process mapping.
  • Develop business requirements document, functional requirements document, technical requirements document, service management plan and standard operating procedures.
  • Facilitate and conduct market scanning, product evaluation and procurement process.
  • Works closely with ICT technical/development teams or vendors to ensure that captured business requirements are effectively translated into the functional specifications document so that an optimal solution can be delivered to the business.
  • Work closely with Cyber Security Operations and Identity Management, Infrastructure Operations and Vendors to implement Technical Solutions.
  • Provide problem-solving support for complex integration development related issues.
  • Builds, develops, and maintains excellent professional working relationships with the University stakeholders to develop trust and confidence in business process improvement initiatives.
  • Identifies stakeholders, conducts change impact assessments in collaboration with the Organizational Change Manager and Project Manager and builds a deep knowledge of the impact of the planned change on people in terms of the depth and scope of that change.
  • Cooperate with all health and safety policies and procedures of the university and take all reasonable care to ensure that your actions or omissions do not impact on the health & safety of yourself or others.

Your skills and experience will include:

  • Significant experience of business analysis, business requirements analysis and business process analysis using the appropriate frameworks.
  • Substantial experience in business and technical analysis in the following cyber security domains:
  • Identity Governance and Administration
  • Active Directory & Entra Id
  • Single Sign-On and Multifactor Authentication
  • Privileged Access Management
  • User Access Review and recertification procedures
  • Strong understanding of industry-wide security standards and compliance frameworks such as ISO/IEC 27001, NIST, PCI DSS, HIPAA, GDPR etc.
  • Extensive knowledge of Identity Management frameworks including life cycle management, access management, governance, and reporting.
  • Extensive experience in development of Identity Management solutions, enhancing custom connectors and workflows for IAM products and implementing Identity Governance and Administration (IGA).
  • Understanding of key IT/Cybersecurity concepts (Network Security, Security Operations & Administration, Incident Response & Recovery, Identity and Access Management, Vulnerability Management etc).
  • Relevant tertiary qualification with subsequent relevant experience or equivalent competence gained through any combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Comprehensive analytical and problem-solving skills and proven capacity to exercise initiative, flexibility and to be proactive in development of robust solutions to problems.
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills, with a high level of attention to detail for deliverables produced, with the ability to handle high demand situations with management and key stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated success working effectively and collaboratively on initiatives with a range of people at different levels within an organisation.
  • Excellent time management skills, with a demonstrated ability to respond to changing priorities, manage multiple tasks and meet competing deadlines by using judgement and initiative.
  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PowerBi, Visio, and experienced in the of supporting tools, e.g. Jira, SharePoint, GitHub, Jenkins. Knowledge of CI/CD, PowerShell and SQL.
  • Experience in the University / Higher Education sector desirable.
