About the Opportunity
We currently have an exciting opportunity to join the
Central Sterilising Department (CSD) as a
Sterilisation Technician, where you will be responsible for:

  • Cleaning, decontamination, packaging, sterilisation, and delivery of surgical and medical items processed in CSD
  • Assisting with the training of new and inexperienced staff allocated to the unit
  • Following daytoday instructions from the Team Leader and NUM/Manager
  • Undertaking tasks involving movement between Operating Theatres, other clinical units, and the CSD unit regularly
  • Participating in a negotiated processes for performance management with the line manager

About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • AQF Certificate III relevant to employee's position (WHA4) and at least 560 hours satisfactory in service experience (WHA5)
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively and efficiently as a member of a team under variable workloads and time constraints
  • Clear communication skills, including the ability to accurately document and interpret analytical data
  • Initiative and reliability in problemsolving and task prioritization
  • Commitment to delivering highquality customer service
  • Demonstrated experience in a CSD environment through paid employment or training placement.
