Join the dynamic Existing Customer Variations (ECV) team at Suncorp and play a vital role in actively supporting and processing credit variations for our valued customers.

As an ECV Lending Officer, you will have the opportunity to handle a diverse range of tasks, including but not limited to: Partial Releases, Substitute of Securities, Insurance Claims, Interest Only Requests, Leases, Subdivisions, Resumptions, Transfers, Caveats, Following Mortgages, Easements, Title Amendments, and Consents matters.

In addition to these exciting responsibilities, you will also be involved in managing the team inbox, reporting, cross-training across teams to meet business needs, and conducting incident and complaint investigations (including lodgement) to support the team and team leader.

What you'll do:

  • Provide exceptional service to both internal and external stakeholders, ensuring outstanding customer outcomes. Support and mentor internal stakeholders to drive excellence in customer service.
  • Consistently meet daily targets by effectively planning your workday, whilst embrace process changes and uphold responsible lending practices to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Maintain a compliance benchmark of 95% as outlined in the Bank's Lending Quality Program Framework.
  • Enhance efficiency by ensuring high-quality data entry to minimize reworks and reduce error rates.
  • Promote a strong risk culture by actively participating in risk activities such as Computer Based Training, Data Quality initiatives, and incident logging.
  • Inspire team members through a culture of continuous learning and development, embracing diversity and inclusiveness, and prioritizing employee well-being. Contribute positively to departmental activities and events.
  • Foster meaningful partnerships and share knowledge and resources to drive optimal solutions and deliver exceptional results for our customers and the Bank.

What you'll bring:

  • Financial qualifications are desirable and ideally a minimum of 3 years industry experience.
  • Proven experience in Lending / credit assessment is essential.
  • Strong understanding of the Australian Financial Industry.
  • Strong Customer Service skills (face to face or contact centre).
  • Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines and high attention to detail.
  • Demonstrable SME experience with operational and partner processes and associated systems (e.g. CBP, Hogan, Sunlink, Allfi, Valex, Docuprep, Pexa etc) are highly desirable
  • Convey and explain information, coherently and confidently both oral and written, using a combination of influencing and motivating to cause behavioural change.
  • Make effective decisions in a timely manner across a variety and diversity of matters.
  • Manage business activities and initiatives to achieve individual and/or team goals on time and on budget; take accountability for approach taken and quality of outcome.
