Job Summary:
Supervise and coordinate daily accounting and financial settlement activities for a team of financial service analysts. Prioritize tasks for the team and provide training and oversight as needed. Support the financial services manager with related client activities and service deliverables while ensuring service delivery metrics are met. This position typically works under general supervision. Incumbents of this position will regularly exercise discretionary and substantial decision-making authority.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Daytoday people management responsibility for a team of Cubes. Inspire, coach and develop them to succeed, with coresponsibility for their engagement, delivery and performance in role.
  • Drive adhoc crossfunctional projects and leading analysts in daytoday activities. Keep team up to date on product updates and changes in payment industry.
  • Manage and engage relevant stakeholders to resolve discrepancies in reports or the ledgers, ensuring quality and controls are observed.
  • Coordinate preparation of monthly reporting and provide variance analysis and aging information for account balances where relevant. Attend to client queries and provide them with quality management reporting information.
  • Creates databases, macros and/or reports to streamline department processes. Produces specifications for custommade reports and works with the Reports Developer and Database Administrator in automating the provision of customer and business reporting. Builds and maintains working relationships with different departments of the organization.
  • Coordinate delivery of functional support to product development as well as carrying out testing for enhancements and new products in the system and user acceptance testing.
  • Manage process improvement and lead the development and testing of new reports. Produce specifications for custom made reports, ensuring they demonstrate sound control parameters and are complete and accurate. Ensure all reports meet contractual and financial reporting requirements.
  • Champion automation and data visualizations including reconciliation dashboards and reports using AI, robotics, Python, SQL, Power BI. This includes working with internal and external stakeholders to develop and improve business solutions, provide a streamlined product and participate in reporting tool review, system testing for project variations and new projects.
  • Perform root cause analysis, identify defects and recommend course of action using analytical interpretative and problemsolving skills.
  • Be the point of contact between Cubic business areas for significant software development and enhancement projects. Work with developers on reports, automated reconciliation process, and improving overall efficiency.

Minimum Job Requirements:

Essential:

  • Degree (or equivalent) in accounting, finance or similar

Desirable:

  • CPA qualification or equivalent
  • Payment industry and processing experience
Skills/Experience/Knowledge

Essential:

  • 3 years' management and people leader experience
  • 6 years' experience in accounting and reconciliations
  • Previous experience in a financial or professional services environment
  • Prior experience using financial systems
  • Demonstrated ability to manage large volumes of data
  • Demonstrated experience of deepdive variance investigation, and the ability to produce quality commentary for management decisionmaking

  • Experience using or implementing various automation tools such as robotics, Power BI, Python, SQL
