Your Opportunity


The Community Living Supports (CLS) is a NSW State program with formal partnerships between NSW Health, housing providers and CMO.


The Lived Expertise Worker position requires the integration of personal knowledge and skills gained from overcoming the impact of mental illness with practical experience and qualification, to provide lived expertise coaching to individuals and groups.

The aim of the coaching interventions is to assist individuals experiencing similar adversity, to better lead and manage their own lifestyle and wellbeing in the community.


Your Key Responsibilities will be to:

  • Present as a positive role model for consumers
  • Cocreate and support the consumers identified goals
  • Engage consumers and develop trusting professional relationships
  • Share your lived experience of mental health recovery in a purposeful and meaningful way
  • Establish professional boundaries with consumers
  • Maintain updated and required case notes

Requirement for Success

  • Relevant Degree, Associate Diploma or substantial relevant experience
  • Hold own lived experience of mental health recovery
  • Sound understanding of peer support work
  • Welldeveloped communication skills
  • Valid NSW driver's license


Before starting work with us, you will need to undertake a national police history check, qualifications and referee checks, and have a clearance to work with children/vulnerable people and child-safe certificate.
