This state government department plays a pivotal role in advancing the ACT's development and is actively engaged in multiple digital solutions projects state-wide. Due to an increase in workload, this respectable government organisation urgently requires a Senior Business Analyst to gather and identify requirements for digital solutions programs.

Please note, the successful candidate must work a minimum of 3 days in the Canberra office on a 6 month contract with possible extension.

Reporting into the Project Manager, in this ICT Senior Business Analyst role, you will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Reports to Project Manager in project/program team.
  • Gathers, refines, documents, and shares requirements per Digital Solutions frameworks.
  • Defines business analysis approach and requirements management with Project Manager.
  • Analyses and models current/future business processes and data flows with stakeholders.
  • Prepares requirement models and detailed business specifications.
  • Manages requirements traceability to use cases and test planning with Test Lead.
  • Assists with user acceptance testing and documentation.

To be successful in this role, you must have experience in the following areas:

  • A minimum of 3 years experience in a similar ICT Senior Business Analyst role within the public sector and/or health space.
  • Tertiary education at undergraduate or graduate level with a focus on informatics, business intelligence, system and business analysis, project management and human interaction design is highly regarded.
  • Proven experience in business process and requirements analysis in a large and complex/diverse service industry organisation. This includes strong knowledge and practical experience in working in the IT or Enterprise Service Management domain.
  • Demonstrated technical writing skills and ability to create required project management artefacts using the Microsoft office suite specifically Word, Visio, Excel and PowePoint.
