The Position:


Due to the continued growth of the College, we are seeking a Full Time - Permanent Quality Assurance Officer to join our Team.

This role will be a multi-campus role, with days spread across both our Werribee and Melton campuses.


The Quality Assurance Officer provides oversight and advice on the risk & compliance requirements and responsibilities of the College and on the quality management framework within the College.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Risk Management_
  • Develop and implement systems and procedures to appropriately manage risk.
  • Regularly review the emergency evacuation documentation and practices for all campuses and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Review and maintain the College's electronic system (currently CompliSpace) that supports the College's review of policies, procedures, and work practices so we continuously meet our legal obligations.
  • Where necessary support the Principals and Teaching staff to develop risk assessments for activities such as excursions, overseas trips etc and develop postactivity evaluation surveys to help identify risks to be addressed.
  • Compliance_
  • Coordinate the implementation of new modules into the CompliSpace system and evaluate the proposed CompliSpace policies against College priorities, as well as current and benchmark policies and practices, liaising with the Principals, and other members of the Senior Leadership Team leaders to ensure the implementation occurs by the relevant timeline.
  • Support the Director of Business Services and Principals to keep uptodate on legal and/or regulatory changes that may impact the School and make recommendations to the Director of Business Services or Executive Principal where existing policies and procedures may require review.
  • Work with the Property and Facilities Manager to ensure the induction of new contractors and existing contractors periodically to ensure they are educated and compliant with the School's Risk Management and Child Safe Requirements.
  • Support the Director of Business Services on the compliance requirements, including their role as the College's Privacy Officer.
  • Work closely with the Director of Business Services, Executive Principal and Senior Leadership team in managing the Early Education National Quality policy compliance framework and the VRQA school registration guidelines.
  • Risk Framework_
  • Manage the Risk Management Framework for the School and develop best practices.
  • Continuous review of all items that comprise the Risk Management framework and the coordination of Risk Management functions.
  • Manage and maintain the Risk Register.
  • Develop succinct and informative reporting on the Risk Framework for reporting to the School Executive, Risk Management Board Sub Committee.
  • Manage the continuous and systematic review of the Risk Management Framework.
  • Management and development of Risk Framework online software platform.
  • Workplace Health & Safety_
  • As a member of the OH&S Committee:
  • Keep up to date on legal and/or regulatory changes that may impact the School and make recommendations where existing procedures and practices may require review.
  • Assist and support the Principals to review the Displan processes, plans and evacuation routes after each Displan activity.
  • As required, analyse the survey results from each Displan and liaise with the OHS committee on any changes or recommended improvements.
