Position: Mechanical Fitter

Location: Cairns, Queensland

Type: Full-time hours, Labour hire, Monday to Friday

Responsibilities:

• Conduct maintenance, repairs, and installations on mechanical equipment and machinery aboard ships and vessels.
• Perform inspections and troubleshooting tasks to diagnose mechanical issues and implement effective solutions.
• Adhere to strict safety protocols and guidelines.
• Collaborate with the maintenance team to ensure the smooth operation of machinery and equipment.
• Complete documentation and reports related to maintenance activities.

Requirements:

• Australian Trade Qualification as a mechanical fitter, preferably in the shipping or maritime industry.
• Hold valid high-risk licenses for working at heights, confined spaces, and elevated work platforms.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a dynamic environment.
• Commitment to safety and compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Trade qualification or relevant certification in mechanical fitting.
