Annabel Neasham Racing is seeking a self-motivated individual who thrives in a collaborative environment, possess strong problem-solving skills, and is committed to delivering results to take up the opportunity of Stable Foreperson at our Eagle Farm location.


Duties include:

  • Managing the daytoday tasks required for a barn of horses in training;
  • Providing leadership, direction & support to stable staff on operational and training activity/requests;
  • Management and coordination of stable staff, including timesheet management & assisting in rostering;
  • Taking horse temperatures and / or administering treatments;
  • Work with stable vets/ farriers to manage the ongoing welfare of horses;
  • Maintain horse records in line with the rules of racing;
  • Traveling to jumpouts, barrier trials, race days, and representing the stable.
  • Preparing horses for strappers /riders / trackwork

Requirements;

  • Outstanding communications skills
  • Demonstrated experience in managing and leading a stable barn and team;
  • Extensive experience and confidence in handling and educating horses;
  • Race day experience representing a stable;
  • Knowledge and understanding of the rules of racing;
  • Capacity to work with and harness technology, including stable management systems and equine tracking devices;
  • Knowledge of occupational health & safety protocols and best stable practices.
