As a Smart Metering Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the installation, maintenance, and performance of smart metering systems. Your responsibilities will include managing a team of technicians, ensuring compliance with regulations, optimising system performance, and providing technical expertise and support.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Team Leadership:
Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of smart metering technicians. Schedule and allocate resources efficiently to meet project deadlines and service level agreements. Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members. 2. Installation and Maintenance:
Coordinate the installation and commissioning of smart metering systems according to project specifications and timelines. Ensure the proper maintenance and repair of smart meters to minimise downtime and ensure accurate data collection. Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to maximise system reliability. 3. Compliance and Quality Assurance:
Ensure compliance with industry regulations, standards, and safety protocols. Conduct quality assurance checks on installations and maintenance activities to ensure accuracy and reliability of data. Address any non-compliance issues promptly and implement corrective actions. 4. System Optimisation:
Monitor the performance of smart metering systems and identify opportunities for optimisation. Analyse data trends and recommend improvements to enhance system efficiency and accuracy. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement system upgrades and enhancements. 5. Technical Support:
Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to field technicians and customers. Investigate and resolve escalated technical issues related to smart metering systems. Develop and deliver training programs to enhance the technical skills of team members. 6. Stakeholder Communication:
Liaise with internal stakeholders, including project managers, engineers, and customer service representatives, to coordinate activities and resolve issues. Communicate effectively with external stakeholders, such as regulatory agencies and utility customers, to address inquiries and concerns related to smart metering. Qualifications:
Qualified tradesman in telecommunications or Electrical, or a related field. Proven experience in a supervisory role, preferably in smart metering or related industry. In-depth knowledge of smart metering technologies, protocols, and best practices. Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Familiarity with regulatory requirements and standards governing smart metering systems. Preferred Qualifications:
Certification in smart metering or related field. Experience with project management methodologies. Knowledge of data analytics and visualisation tools. Familiarity with advanced metering infrastructure (AMI) systems.
