Our Property, Procurement Safety & Wellbeing team is seeking to appoint a
WHS Coordinator Risk & Audit, responsible for programming and conducting assurance activities of business unit processes and procedures to ensure that WHS risks are managed in line with DPE's WHS Management System.

Engaging with internal stakeholders to promote and ensure WHS compliance is imperative to this role

Responsibilities will also include:

  • Developing risk and investigation information sessions for roll out to the business.
  • Providing advice and recommendations on WHS risk audit and incident investigation matters.
  • Supporting a high performance WHS workplace culture.

About You


Ideally, you will have experience in initiating and conducting internal audit, investigations or risk management including working with external audit and third-party service providers.

You will be thorough and meticulous in preparing briefs and audit/ investigation reports.

To be successful in this role you must be able to both work collaboratively in a team environment and manage your own work priorities and use initiative to work through a range of confidential and complex issues.

Key Knowledge and Experience

  • Experience in WHS risk management
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 apps such as SharePoint, Power BI, Power Query, Power Automate and Power Apps

Essential requirements

  • Tertiary qualifications in Work Health and Safety or related discipline and/or relevant experience
  • Qualifications or experience in WHS Auditing including internal audit, investigations or risk management including working with external audit and thirdparty service providers and experience preparing audit reports, investigation reports, briefs and/or other related papers.
  • Sound knowledge of WHS legislation, regulations and Australian standards
  • Current NSW Drivers' Licence
