The Position

Horticulture Specialist

The horticulture specialist will be a part of councils Parks & Sports Ground Team providing efficient horticulture knowledge and experience.


  • 3month contract
  • Edwardstown
- $44- $46 (depending on your skills and experience)

  • Fulltime hours
  • 9 day fortnight

Duties:

  • Efficiently operating rideon mowers and tractors to maintain reserve green spaces
  • Employing environmentallyfriendly practices for pest and disease management
  • Collaborating with the team
  • Conducting comprehensive soil analysis and prescribing suitable treatments
  • Contributing to grind of the peak season for the Parks team

Requirements:

  • Certificate 3 in Horticulture
  • Minimum MR Truck License
  • WZTM Ticket
  • Current Police Clearance
  • Ability to pass functional and D/A test
  • Demonstrated horticulture experience, showcasing proficiency in both rideon mower and tractor operation
  • Indepth knowledge of horticulture maintenance techniques
  • Ability to identify and address common plant pests and diseases
  • Familiarity with sustainable and organic horticultural practices
  • Exceptional teamwork and communication skills
