In this role, you'll:

  • Join the M6 Stage 1 project, a $3.1 billion project delivering Sydney's deepest tunnels and providing southern Sydney with a vital connection to the Greater Sydney motorway network.
  • Really make an impact on the transport network across Sydney
  • Be the sites eyes and ears ensure that everything is running correctly under transports specifications
  • Build engaging stakeholder relationships and foster a culture respectful communication between transport and its contractors
  • Oversee drainage, earthworks, pavement, bridges culverts and retaining walls.
  • Brownfield sites facilitating utility relocations
This is a fixed term opportunity until l26/12/2025.

About you

  • You'll have a background working in civil infrastructure ideally with an understanding of transport road specifications.
  • You don't need to have worked as a Construction Surveillance Officer before however you do have to have a strong understanding of either civil or structures.
  • Ideally you would really worked as a team leader or site supervisor, potentially developed your career from an operator or trades background.
  • You will have keen eye for detail with the ability to read, understand and ensure engineering drawings are followed.
  • You be confident in the understanding of site works and know when its appropriate to stop works due to safety, quality, environmental or other issues
