The Company


This is an exciting opportunity to be directly involved in the next industrial revolution (aka Industry 4.0), by assisting Australian engineering and manufacturing companies develop and progress their digital transformation journey.


LEAP is a leader on the delivery of advanced Simulation, 3D CAD and PLM software technologies as well as newer disruptive technologies including IoT and Augmented Reality.


LEAP specialises in the sale of world leading commercial software and associated services, the solutions that would be covered by this role include: Computer Aided Engineering (CAE), Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), Augmented Reality (AR) and The Internet of Things (IoT).


LEAP Australia has 25 years of experience, assisting thousands of local businesses to improve productivity, reduce costs and gain competitive advantage from the latest Desktop, SaaS and Enterprise Engineering technologies.


Qualifications, Skills & Experience


Whilst this is a sales role, LEAP operates in a strong technology market and a good understanding of Engineering Software and Processes is therefore required.


The Role

The role includes the following:

  • Sales, customer and marketing territory planning
  • Find, qualify, develop and manage new business opportunities
  • Achieve sales targets with a strong forecastable pipeline
  • Manage and grow existing customers via effective Account Management
  • Assist to coordinate local marketing events such as Seminars, Webinars, Trade Shows and Workshops
  • Possible interstate travel as required, depending on location and sales territory(s)

Typical day-to-day duties include:

  • Preparing target new client lists and approaching new accounts
  • Working leads from marketing events and lead generation sources
  • Customer meetings and presentations (onsite, online and inhouse)
  • Working with a highly skilled technical team to scope and deliver proposals
  • Communication with various client stakeholders including technical and management (CXO level)
  • Interaction and documenting/reporting of sales activity via CRM tools
