About the role:


This position coordinates the procurement, detailed analysis and reporting of strategic and maintenance asset data in order to provide the foundation for development of Council's works programs and maintenance planning activities.


Duties include:

  • Maintain asset management databases.
  • Monitor and report on the delivery of the annual ppm schedule and the annual capital works program.
  • Organise and administer programmed, cyclic and planned maintenance activities and schedules.
  • Provide basis Asset Management System and GIS System basic training & support to internal stakeholders.
  • Provide specialised design and construction advice for infrastructure projects.
  • Undertake modelling investigations.
  • Identify asset defects and advise the relevant maintenance team.
  • Coordinate and supervise contractors and consultants.
  • Identify asset defects and advise departments, contractors or external stakeholders.
  • Oversee capitalisation and sub divider dedications of assets for yearend audit.
  • Provide asset information and recommendations to management to assist capital work improvements.
  • Undertake asset inspections for defects, malfunctions or asset/project handover meetings.

About you:

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Project Management, Asset Management or similar
  • ISO 55000 and/or IPWEA International Infrastructure Management Manual and associated Practice Notes
  • Local Government Code of Accounting Practice and Financial Reporting
  • Drivers Licence (Class C)
  • NSW
