About the role


An exciting opportunity to take the next step in your career and join our team to help create Standards which contribute towards keeping our Australian community safe.

You will be responsible for many administrational activities which actively support Committees involvement in international standardization work.

You will be provided with classroom and on the join training and coaching to not only make you successful in this role but with a larger career goal to become a Project Manager.


What you'll do

  • Coordinate Australian participation at overseas events
  • Provide Committee support as required. You may be expected to occasionally attend international conference calls outside normal business hours
  • Liaise with experts for input to international projects in areas of high net benefit to the Australian community
  • Monitor and progress project deliverables ensuring targets, timelines, controls and quality parameters are met
  • Maintain plans and information for projects using the organisation's project management system, including scope, size and timelines
  • Build and support working relationships with project stakeholders, upholding the Standards Australia brand at all times
  • Provide guidance to committees and other stakeholders on Standards Australia's International policies and standards development processes
  • Active participation in team and departmental activities to support and drive continuous improvement

About you

  • 3+ years' experience in an office administration or customer facing roles
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to articulate and explain information to customers, peers and managers
  • Schedule, monitor and manage work to maximise the use of time and effort
  • Proactive attitude and enthusiastic
  • Strong aptitude for problem solving and decision making
  • High level of attention to detail
