About the Opportunity


Full Time permanent opportunity available if you have extensive Scheduling and personnel leadership experience to join our Program Management Office as a Principal Scheduler to support our Life-of-Type Extension (LOTE) Program.

Reporting to the LOTE Project Controls Manager, your responsibilities will include providing technical support, direction and effective mentoring and support for the LOTE scheduling function and team.


This position is an integral part of our Collins Class Submarine (CCSM) sustainment program, contributing to Australia's Naval Defence capabilities.

Based out of Osborne SA.

Responsibilities

  • Accountable for developing the Contract & LOTE Master Schedule, and the associated supporting schedules, to support achievement of ASC's Program commitments.
  • Effective leadership and mentoring of a smallmedium sized team of Project Schedulers.
  • Overseeing all aspects of schedule reporting, being the primary point of contact for all scheduling discussions, managing the schedule architecture and processes within the LOTE scheduling function in support of the project teams.
  • Assimilate technical, commercial, and budget (cost and effort) information to produce an actionable and affordable plan with broad stakeholders.
  • Provide technical guidance to all project team members and resolve any conflicts between teams, stakeholders, processes and systems associated with scheduling for LOTE.
  • Continuous improvement including process and systems review, as well as methods of improvements for collation, management and reporting of project data within the scheduling domain.

Skills & Experiences

  • Diploma in Program or Project Management or Certificate IV in Project Management (desirable)
  • Formal Scheduling Certification in Primavera P6 (desirable)
  • Experience in the discipline of EVM
  • 5+ years of experience in Scheduling within a complex engineering environment
  • Advanced use of Primavera P
  • Experience with managing a team of 2+ personnel
  • Strong computer literacy skills
  • Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to selfmotivate whilst collaborating with various internal Stakeholders

Eligibility


Applicants must hold Australian Citizenship and be eligible to obtain Australian Defence Security Clearance that includes providing a current National Police Clearance Certificate if successful.
