Foster Care Contact Coordinator

  • Full Time position with Hybrid working


 Statewide role
  • Sydney, Parkes or Broken Hill base
  • Lead a team of Contact Workers


This role will be responsible for the leadership and service delivery of a contact worker team to ensure the requirements of the young people are met.


The role

  • Actively lead a team of family contact to children, young people and families including providing supervision and support, and promoting a positive team culture
  • Support teams to embed teambased ways of working and promoting the adoption of relevant practice frameworks
  • Ensure practice meets the needs of children, young people and families, and the standards set by the Office of the Children's Guardian and the Department of Communities and Justice
  • Be responsible for the recruitment, rostering and management of the contact work team across NSW
  • Conduct contract management and reviews, including reporting on performance of existing contracts and service level agreements

About you
As a Care Coordinator, you will have the following:

  • Tertiary qualification in Community Services, Leadership and/or Management and equivalent experience
  • Experience delivering therapeutic out of home care or familybased care models with young people
  • Experience managing or leading Child and Family services, including delivering relevant programs across the Community Services sector such as residential accommodation services and familybased placements
  • Experience providing reflecting practice in both group and individual settings
  • Direct work with children and young people with complete support needs and disabilities
