Job description:
The purpose and unique contribution of your role is to understand current and changing business and market needs to deliver the right technology products, with the right experience, to the right people, at the right time, in the right place and for the right price.
The focus of your role will be to provide ownership for products and services provided to approximately 17,000 staff across the IAG group in Australia and NZ.
Key Responsibilities:
- Understand business and user needs, know where the industry is going, and assist in the development and maintenance of product strategies that deliver exceptional outcomes.
- Drive the creation and maintenance of Product Plans to manage your products
- Have well defined Product Roadmaps that link Strategy and Product Planning
- Ensure that the products and services you provide are costcompetitive and have the features our people need.
- Manage expectations from a business perspective on product offerings. Serve as the key interface between the business, your team and supporting functions within and external to Technology
- Ensure that the daytoday operational requirements are met, that the team members are guided as per direction and that solutions to cater for that direction are offered; and
- Uplift support sustainably in a Hybrid Working Paradigm.
- Setting performance and development goals with team members, and keeping the Manager informed.
- Engage with stakeholders to understand requirements, drive compliance, and build mutually valuable relationships.
- Utilise data and Analytics to inform product choice recommendations and device tuning
- Support the manager in the identification and evaluation of new product capabilities and adjustments in product offerings by analysing and aligning to business and/or partner objectives.
- Respond immediately to service interruptions and ensure problem management is prioritized.
- Generate all necessary supporting documentation for processes and procedures, work instructions and templates.
- Identify & raise security & operational risks for the services provided by the team.
Skills & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, or equivalent (desirable)
- ITIL v3 or similar certification (desirable)
- Working Knowledge of Incident, Problem, Change and Configuration Management (ITIL) processes
- 6+ years' experience and knowledge of IT technology and infrastructure
- Excellent documentation skills for technical documentation, knowledge articles and user training
- Experience in writing policy and procedure documentation
- Experience in the effective management of teams (line management not essential)
- Exposure to Agile practices including lean design & development techniques.
- A team player, with community spirit, strong communications skills and a "can do" attitude
- Creative problem solver who can think beyond status quo
