The ANZ Retail Marketing team is undergoing a significant transformation to bring an in-house creative studio. This change has opened up an opportunity for a leader to supervise the creative and production direction for ANZ Retail Australia.

As the head of ANZ's internal creative and production studio, your role entails overseeing all creative output of the studio, ensuring alignment with brand strategy and preserving brand identity. You will also offer guidance and expert advice on the production process for all major integrated campaigns.

Utilizing your expertise in MarTech solutions, you will be responsible for enhancing the quality, effectiveness, and consistency of advertising and marketing communication production across all platforms.

In-depth knowledge of the production process and creative development is crucial to support, develop, and educate the broader marketing team, enhancing their knowledge and confidence.

A core aspect of the role involves leading a comprehensive creative team consisting of Designers, Content Leads, Video Motion designers, Account Managers, and Production Specialists to deliver top-notch creative assets.

Developing and executing the Studio Capability Roadmap is vital, as a key focus is to continually enhance the level and type of support, especially concerning digital asset and AV development.

What will your day look like

This role involves:

  • Creative Direction
    • Oversight of all assets produced by the studio, ensuring alignment with internal pitches and proposals to deliver quality outcomes.
    • Supervising art direction from inception to completion, ensuring timely and within scope delivery.
    • Staying updated on design trends to foster innovation and differentiation, and sharing these insights with the wider team.
    • Translating briefs from the marketing team to the studio to initiate the creative process for optimal creative delivery.
    • Demonstrating a strong creative vision and direction to meet business requirements.
    • Presenting ideas to internal stakeholders with well-thought-out rationale.
  • Studio Operations
    • Implementing MarTech technology to support asset development, workflow management, and asset storage.
    • Coordinating workflow, resource planning, and ensuring project timelines are met.
    • Serving as a liaison between the marketing team and external agencies for effective communication.
  • Studio Production
    • Collaborating with cross-functional teams on the production process for integrated campaigns.
    • Liaising with production suppliers, discussing print specifications, and providing post-production feedback.
    • Sourcing estimates and ensuring timely, high-quality output within budget.
  • Business Performance
    • Developing a studio roadmap and strategies to enhance internal capability.
    • Monitoring and reporting on team performance to achieve business savings targets.
    • Administering practices to maximize efficiency, including status reports and team performance evaluation.
    • Establishing rigorous processes to ensure compliance with risk frameworks and quality control standards.
  • Leadership
