About the Role

Thales is seeking a skilled Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Advisor to join our team in Bendigo. As an HSE Advisor, you will play a critical role in supporting the HSE Manager in implementing HSE programs and ensuring a safe working environment for our employees.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the HSE Manager in implementing the Bendigo site HSE Plan and its associated programs.
  • Conduct investigations of accidents, incidents, and hazards on site, ensuring effective investigation and implementation of corrective actions.
  • Assist with HSE administration, including statistical reporting systems and chemical audits.
  • Support Health and Safety Representatives (HSRs) and Managers in implementing the Risk Assessment and Hazard Management program.
  • Conduct random workplace inspections and monitor the implementation of corrective actions.
Requirements
  • Formal qualifications or a Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety or Environment.
  • Previous experience in a similar HSE role, with experience interacting with management, employees, and external stakeholders.
  • Practical knowledge of the production/construction and manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and lead, motivate, and influence others.
  • Sound computer skills in Microsoft Office products.
