Physical Security Site Lead

Seeking an experienced Physical Security professional to lead 24/7 site security operations (., access control, video management, visitor management, badging operations, incident & emergency response) and security personnel at our office based in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia.
The ideal candidate is a people manager capable of expertly operating in a matrixed organization and working cross-functionally with other leaders and teams on Physical Security matters.
This leader will oversee Physical Security teams, projects, and policies & procedures in order to deliver excellent results and respond to exigent matters in a timely manner.
Keeping up with the security environment; establishing mutual aid; building positive rapport with first responders; managing incidents; and identifying and solving for security gaps will be key components of this role.
Expectations:
- Designing, fulfilling, and leading the 24/7 scheduling and management requirements for Physical Security Operations standard deployment (guard force services), as well as overseeing Physical Security needs of special events, reception services, executive protection, and emergency response.
- Acting as the lead pointofcontact for all Physical Security, crisis management, and incident management & reporting at the USDS London site, as well as oversee the Security Site Lead (SSL) of the USDS North Ryde, Australia, Dedicated Transparency Center.
- Strong liaison relationships with first responders that may include federal law enforcement agencies.
- Capable of expertly resolving daily/usual and acute/unusual incidents with an orientation toward high customer service.
- Management and incident response, including training, crisis preparation, tabletop exercising, and realworld execution of Emergency Response Plans.
- Onsite leadership presence (typically, MondaytoFriday core business hours); oncall for afterhours emergencies.
- Planning and leading Physical Security onboarding and training of all Security personnel at your assigned site.
- Building partnerships with internal (., Workplace Services, Real Estate, HR, Legal, IT) and external (., mutual aid with neighboring tenants; fire and police departments) stakeholders in order to maintain a safe and secure working environment
- Wellwritten reports and easytofollow metrics for Physical Security leadership and Executives.
- Support Executive Protection events and activities as directed by management.
Minimum Qualifications- 3+ years of experience in security management.- 5+ years of experience in corporate security (as a contractor or full-time employee).- Strong interpersonal, customer service, written, and presentation skills.- Proven track record to oversee and lead multiple projects.- Proven track record to handle acute incidents (., major medicals, workplace violence, building evacuations).- Tactical and managerial experience with Physical Security systems and requirements, including access control systems (., Lenel); alarm monitoring; visitor management; badging operations; incident report-writing; policies, procedures, checklists, and post orders; management of mutiple behavior; and basic patrol operations.- Experience building and leading training requirements; overseeing Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) and key performance indices; and writing standard operating procedures.
Preferred Qualifications- Military and/or law enforcement experience, a plus.- AED/First Aid/CPR certification; instructor status, a plus.- Current or previous guard license; executive protection certifications; or investigative certifications, a plus.
- Experience working with GSOC, SOC, or Command Center staff to ensure optimal performance of field security operations.- Ability to travel to other offices; respond to emergencies after-hours; and to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays as operational needs demand.- CPP, a plus.- Experience in Executive Protection, a plus.- Experience operating Lenel and/or Avigilon, a plus.- Bachelor's and/or advanced degree, a plus.- Experience and technical skills related to physical security systems integration and administration (., PACS (Lenel), VMS (, Avigilon), badging operations (., HID smart credentials; badge printers; low and high frequency badge readers), visitor management, SOAR systems (security orchestration, automation, and response), emergency mass notification systems, .
