The Opportunity

Join us as Change Analyst in our VNS Programs team to support agile Mission Teams led by Mission Leaders within a matrix reporting line to deliver business initiatives within a complex, multiplatform technical environment. The role, which can be based anywhere nationally, will be responsible for facilitating and supporting the implementation of change initiatives arising from the Missions. They will work with the Mission Lead, the business analysts, and the stakeholders to identify, analyse, and communicate the impacts and benefits of change, and to ensure the readiness and adoption of the end users through communication, training, and business engagement activities within an agile framework. They will also work closely with the Delivery Practice Lead, other Practice Leads, the Group Scrum Master and the relevant management teams to actively contribute to the adoption and optimisation of the new ways of working. The Change Analyst will foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the team and across the division.

What you'll be doing day-to-day

  • Conduct change analysis (stakeholder analysis, change impact and gap analysis, training needs analysis). Identify potential people-side risks and anticipated points of resistance and develop specific plans to mitigate or address concerns. Conduct readiness assessments, evaluate results and present findings in a logical and easy-to-understand manner.
  • Apply a structured change management approach and methodology for the people side of change caused by Mission driven initiatives.
  • Develop a change management strategy based on a situational awareness of the details of the change and the groups being impacted by the change. Develop and execute a set of actionable and targeted change management activities (including change leadership plan, communication plan, education and training plan and resistance management plan) aligned with stakeholder needs.
  • Work with the Mission Team to integrate change management activities into the overall project plan and drive completion. Facilitate and support the transition and stabilization of the change and identify and document the lessons learned and best practices.
  • Create and manage measurement systems to track adoption, utilisation and proficiency of individual changes.
  • Work with other group-wide specialists, for example, Internal Communications, Marketing, and Business Subject Matter Experts, in the formulation of particular plans and activities to support implementation.
  • Undertake project administration, monitoring and reporting tasks as required. Assemble/collate relevant Mission / initiative information to produce coordinated, consolidated and timely reporting.
  • Work with the Mission Lead to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization to build awareness, understanding, and commitment to the change.
  • Support the Mission Team as required including the effective tracking of initiative change progress, the monitoring and reporting of change activities, support for UAT, business readiness activities, deployment activities, hyper-care, Go to Market activities and PIR processes in accordance with Vocus' Ways of Working.
  • Identify opportunities for adoption, improvement and innovation in the agile change processes, tools, and practices and work with the other change practitioners, Mission leads and the relevant management teams to implement.
  • Promote Vocus' safety-first culture and proactively monitor physical and psychological safety at work.

What you'll bring to this role

  • A university degree in related area of expertise such as Business administration, Organisational development, Program & Project Management, Computer Science, Business Analysis.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of change management principles, methodologies, and tools couples with excellent knowledge of agile methodologies, frameworks and tools and experience in supporting change within a complex multi-platform and dynamic matrix reporting environment.
  • Demonstrated experience develop and execute change management plans and strategies, including communication, training, coaching, and resistance management, to support the successful delivery and adoption of the change.
  • Experience conducting change impact assessments and stakeholder analysis to understand the current state, the desired future state, and the gaps and risks associated with the change.
  • Skilled at monitoring and measuring the effectiveness and outcomes of the change management interventions and provide feedback and recommendations for improvement.
  • Conceptual, problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt and respond to changing situations and priorities. The ability to apply analytical skill and conceptual thinking to operations, system and process planning and optimisation across a range of technologies and a demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and improvement.
