About the Role

We are looking for a dedicated outdoor education professional to join our team temporarily.

Starting in mid-July for Term 3, you will collaborate with the Head of Co-curricular Activities on planning tasks before taking the lead in Term 4.

During Term 4, your responsibilities will include managing various outdoor activities and camps for Year 8 and 9 students, as well as coordinating an annual Open Day.

  • Ensure safe and effective delivery of all programs and activities.
  • Implement and evaluate programs.
  • Manage camp logistics.
  • Lead and organize staff and resources.
  • Host information sessions.
  • Communicate with staff, parents, and students.
  • Handle issues and contingency plans.
  • Administer our excursion management platform, Consent2Go.

Possible requirement to attend a Victoria camp for a week in November.

This is a part-time role (0.5 FTE) on a fixed-term contract from July 15, 2024, to December 6, 2024.

In Term 3, preference is for work on Mondays to Thursdays from 9am to 2.30pm, with flexibility in Term 4.

About You

We seek an exceptional outdoor educator with strong leadership and communication skills.

You must have experience in organizing outdoor education programs, risk management, and program logistics.

Essential qualifications include a Cert IV in Outdoor Recreation or higher, Working with Children's Check, Level 2 First Aid, CPR certificate, and a valid driver's license.

Prior experience with Consent2Go is a plus.

National Crime Check mandatory.
