Allocations Officer to join our friendly team.

About us:

We make a difference to people's lives and from a recent staff engagement survey, 100% of our staff are proud to _work_ for us.

We're a not-for-profit community housing organisation, leading the delivery of housing and associated services across WA.

We encourage people with disability, people who identify as Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander, those from culturally diverse backgrounds and people who identify as LGBTIQ+ to apply.

About the role:

The Allocations Officer works within a small and friendly team to match Foundation Housing tenancies to applicants from the State's Joint Wait List (JWL) in accordance with the company allocations policy, to ensure properties are let/re-let within target times and in a manner which seeks to achieve positive, sustainable tenancies for individuals and the broader community.

The role will be _based_ at our _Head_ Office in the heart of Leederville but will require occasional travel to other Perth offices or housing locations.

You would be ideal for this role if you have:

  • Demonstrated understanding of the community housing sector and the role of a social housing landlord
  • Highly developed verbal and written communication and interview skills working with a diverse clientele, including sensitivity to cultural and socioeconomic characteristics.
  • Demonstrated networking skills with outside agencies; allied health professionals and Government departments to determine appropriate supports for incoming clientele.
  • Current WA Driver's Licence.
The successful applicant for this position will be required to provide a National Police Check.

Here are reasons why we hope you'll love working with us.

  • You'll find a culture of kindness. We really care about our people. Our most shared value is "Caring" and you'll see it every day in the _work_ our people do.
  • Attractive salary and flexible salary packaging options
  • A growing organisation at the centre of their sector, with strong leadership and good governance.
  • A committed staff group who in our last employee survey scored us over 90% with their satisfaction as a place of _work_.
