Where you'll be working
The position covers Ryde and Lower North Shore areas. However the office of the Service Manager is located at Royal North Shore Hospital at St Leonards.

What you'll be doing


The Service Manager is responsible for the leadership and planning of Child and Youth Mental Health Services (CYMHS) in conjunction with the Service Director.

This position will manage high priority areas to ensure the development, delivery, and integration of high-quality clinical care within local CYMHS.


The position will require participation in an on-call rotating roster and will act in the position of Service Director when requested.


  • People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background encouraged to apply._
  • Relevant experience in the management and leadership of child and /or youth mental health services, particularly within a community mental health setting
  • Relevant postgraduate qualification, working towards and/or equivalent relevant experience including demonstrated commitment to professional development
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in quality and clinical practice improvement, safety improvement programs and risk management strategies in a mental health context or Demonstrated knowledge and experience in quality and clinical practice improvement, safety improvement programs and risk management strategies in a mental health context or capacity to develop this.
  • Provide evidence of working effectively in collaboration with other functions to implement a comprehensive service while managing competing priorities and complying with all legal, professional, and financial obligations
