We are searching for a dedicated Quality Advisor to become an integral part of our clients HSEQ team based in Darwin.


In this role, your primary focus will be to serve as the QA/QC representative for the Phase 2 project in Darwin.

Your responsibilities will include conducting thorough goods receipt inspections of procured components and assemblies.

Additionally, you will be responsible for managing temporary equipment required on the offshore facility and meticulously reviewing all applicable documentation and certification.

As the QA/QC representative, your role extends to overseeing fabrication inspection activities at approved facilities in Darwin. This involves reviewing and approving fabrication scope and all relevant manufacturing inspection and test records.

About this role

  • Deliver accurate weekly reports on Phase 2 activities to the Central Quality team and stakeholders. This includes a comprehensive overview of inspection activities, material status, NCR status, thirdparty inspection status, perceived concerns, and a forwardlooking summary of planned activities.
  • Contribute to scheduled meetings at the OLB facility and participate in phone/video conferences with the Perth Central Quality team as needed.
  • Facilitate effective communication with the Contracts & Procurement team to ensure the smooth handover of data from the receival documentation process into the Electronic Data Management System (EDMS).
  • Demonstrate a high level of technical expertise in inspecting and testing a diverse range of components and/or assemblies.
  • Coordinate the optimal use of thirdparty inspection resources based on workloads and the need for specialized inspection disciplines.
  • Thoroughly review and approve all relevant documentation for each component/assembly to establish compliance with applicable codes/standards. This includes material certification, test and/or inspection records, and/or complete assembly MDRs.
  • Promptly identify and report all product and/or process Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) through prescribed processes and procedures.
  • Actively participate in developing and verifying suitable corrective and preventative actions to ensure continuous improvement in quality processes.

About you

  • Diploma or Certificate in Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical/Metallurgy), Inspection, Supervision, or equivalent.
  • Demonstrable experience in performing QC inspections on a wide range of components and assemblies.
  • Demonstrable experience in reviewing applicable certification for components/assemblies to establish compliance against applicable codes and/or standards, including material certification, test and/or inspection records, and/or full assembly MDRs.
  • Demonstrable experience in identifying and reporting product and/or process NCRs and participating in the development and verification of suitable corrective and preventative actions.
  • Demonstrable experience in the use of an integrated purchasing/supply chain system such as SAP or equivalent.
  • Australian Full working rights

Preferable:

  • Current inspection qualification(s)/certification(s) in a relevant discipline such as welding, mechanical, or electrical, etc.
  • ISO 9712, CSWIP, PCN, or equivalent NDT qualifications or accredited.
NDT training.
