WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

About the Team
We are a small team, so it will be YOU and the Global Mobility Manager.

The Global Mobility Manager is based in Melbourne, so you can be based in either Melbourne or our HQ - MILVEHCOE (Military Vehicle Centre of Excellence) in Redbank, or our city office in Ann Street, Fortitude Valley.

This team sits in the wider HR function supporting RDA nationally.

We offer a 9 day working fortnight So a long weekend every second weekend, workplace flexibility and a hybrid of office and working from home.


About the Role


In this role you will be the primary point of contact for RDA's Talent Mobility supporting our employee's with travel and visa coordination.

Working as part of the Talent Mobility team (and wider HR team both domestically and internationally), you will be instrumental in developing, guiding and implementing Mobility policy and supporting procedures with the support of the Global Talent Mobility Manager.

As our
Global Mobility Specialist, you can anticipate some of your day-to-day tasks to include:

  • Be the main point of contact for assignees and provide personalised and tailored assignment support to provide a smooth transition for the employee and their family from pre-departure /arrival planning, on-assignment support to repatriation (or permanent residency);
  • Effectively coordinating daytoday operations and relationships with external vendors to organise the relocation of employees and their families as per associated policies and procedures (e.g. tax, immigration, relocation etc.);
  • Support and provide advice to the business relating to Australian immigration in conjunction with external vendors;
  • Ensuring two way communication is maintained with employees and relevant stakeholders throughout the assignment lifecycle;
  • General administrative duties including managing the Global Mobility Team inbox, data entry etc.;
  • Ensuring employee repatriation is effectively managed (where applicable);
  • Track, process and audit supplier invoices and expense claims for assignees in accordance to guidelines and policy;
  • Collaborate with Finance and local HR teams to ensure the correct crosscharge of expenses and resolving cost centre and recharge queries;

The experience and skillset best suited to this role includes:

  • Demonstrated experience in Global Mobility working in a multinational business environment or someone looking to leverage their strong consulting experience in an in-house role;
  • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resource Management, Commerce, Business or of similar discipline (desired, not essential);
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple stakeholders, both internal and external, including payroll, tax, immigration, and relocation vendors;
  • Outstanding customer service and communication skills;
  • Excellent organisation and administration skills to manage multiple caseloads at a single time;
  • Experience/knowledge of Australian immigration;
  • Sound knowledge of the assignment lifecycle and the inherent issues is essential;
  • Proven ability to research and gain knowledge quickly;
  • Exposure to current employment, tax and immigration related laws;
  • Ability to travel interstate when required; and
  • Must hold or be eligible to obtain an Australian Government Security Clearance (must hold Australian Citizenship).
