Digital Metro North is looking for candidates who wants to take on an exciting new challenge, which will require a high level of technical expertise in the areas of infrastructure management, virtualisation, Windows/Linux administration and Data Protection. As an Operations Specialist, you will be supporting the biggest and most diverse hospital and health service in Queensland, delivering excellent care underpinned by our values of respect, integrity, high performance, teamwork, and compassion. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with a deep understanding of IT infrastructure principles and technologies. As part of our continuous growth, we are seeking a talented specialist to join our dynamic team to provide specialist technical support both remote and onsite.

Digital Metro North (DMN) works collaboratively with Metro North Health (MNH) clinical leads and end users to deliver the digital transformation strategy for Metro North Health. It will ultimately create an integrated digital hospital and healthcare environment across Metro North. In meeting this strategy significant capital works are being undertaken over the next five years that includes hospital construction/refurbishment and the implementation of ieMR Advanced solution across Metro North. Delivering this will require a dedicated team, with the capacity to work across initiatives and domains, with the knowledge, determination, skills and experience to deliver.

Key knowledge and experience

The ideal applicant will be able to demonstrate the following:

  • High level of competency in the support of digital and ICT infrastructure and platforms; including the application of professional judgement in the formulation of viable technical solutions and a high degree of technical problem resolution skills.
  • Ability to undertake tasks in a dynamic environment working with limited supervision, meeting established deadlines, demonstrating a commitment to client service, and adhering to workplace standards, procedures and agreements
  • Ability to follow ITIL processes (primarily incident / problem / change, knowledge and configuration management) in a complex digital environment
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills including the ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing to internal and external stakeholders with a view to providing clear understanding of information technology related problems and solutions
