Our services create intentional avenues for young people to explore opportunities, build support networks, and access, participate and contribute to their communities.

Youth services provide a diverse range of programs which include housing and homelessness, driver training, education, employment, and training, AOD support, social and community activities, specialist therapeutic responses and youth justice programs.

About the role


We are seeking a values-driven Client Services Coordinator to lead the Tranmere Street team to deliver high quality services to young people connected to the Tranmere Street youth refuge.

You will work in conjunction with the management team at Upton Rd to deliver the Journey to Independence Model to all youth services clients and represent Youth Services in the Northern Region.

You will successfully

  • Ensure intake and induction of clients to service follows TSA and Youth Services policies and procedures
  • Positive relationships with stakeholders and the community are developed and fostered to enhance service delivery for clients
  • Participate in program on call roster and the requirements of this role
  • Deliver regular supervision to Tranmere Street support staff and facilitate regular team meetings
  • Fulltime duties associated with payroll/Kronos and ensure that any issues with staff pay/leave requirements are addressed in a timely manner
  • Accurate data relating to programs is collected, analysed and used to review and evaluate service delivery outcomes
  • Innovative improvements to service delivery and made based on evaluation of new and emerging trends in the sector
  • Oversee the administration of resources including material aid and brokerage support provided to clients of service
  • Have an understanding of program budget and work with Program manager to ensure compliance in this area
You will have

  • Degree qualification in Social Work, Social Sciences or related field is required
  • Experience and competency in delivering case management practice within the homeless service system
  • Strong understanding of refuge/residential service provision
  • Excellent organization and administrative skills with capacity to balance workload and determine priorities while also addressing the needs of a crisis accommodation environment
  • Strong verbal and communication skills
  • Demonstrated experience in the management and leadership of staff
  • Working with Children Check
  • National Police Check
  • Current Victorian Driver's License
