As the DHW Agency Security Adviser, you will be accountable to the DHW Deputy Agency Security Executive for contributing to the development and monitor compliance with the South Australian Protective Security Framework (SAPSF) and for the provision of effective specialist security advice and, security emergency management to Agency Executive's and DHW business units.

The role will be located in the
Adelaide CBD, at the
Citi Centre Building.
The Agency Security Adviser will provide expert advice, consultation and leadership and strategic engagement, and ensure efficient operational management in relation to corporate security for Department for Health and Wellbeing, encompassing the provision of:

  • Security Governance
  • Information Security
  • Personnel Security
  • Physical Security

Criminal History Screening Requirement

  • A National Police Certificate (NPC) for employment involving 'Unsupervised Contact with Vulnerable Groups' is required for this position (E.g. aged care employment or work involving vulnerable clients)
  • A DHS Working With Children Check (WWCC) is required for this position
  • A DHS Aged Care Sector Employment Screening is required for this position

Immunisation Risk for this position is Category C (mínimal patient contact)


SA Health Services are required to implement the Addressing vaccine preventable disease: Occupational assessment, screening and vaccination policy in the workplace.


Special Conditions

  • Security and Risk Management qualification or the ability to obtain.
  • The incumbent is required to undergo and maintain Australian Government AGSVA Security Clearance to the level of Negative Vetting 1 as a minimum.
  • It is mandatory that no person, whether or not currently working in SA Health, will be eligible for appointment to a position in SA Health unless they have obtained a satisfactory Criminal and Relevant History Screening
  • The incumbent is to be COVID19 vaccinated as per the health requirements
