The Client

We are looking for an intelligent, hungry, energetic, sales professional to join our team, promote our business and commit to strategic growth strategies in a changing and evolving market.

The Role
You will never be bored in this B2B role, split between New Business, Business Development, Account Management and Marketing.


You will naturally be capable of understanding clearly where the sales role ends and the SME role begins, be comfortable with not always having the answers, but knowing where to get the answers and when to bring the delivery team into the process.


You are a person who is:

  • Capable of using story telling as an effective tool
  • A good negotiator with some solid financial acumen and willingness to learn.
  • Able to follow the sales admin process
  • Proficient in MS Office 365 skills, as appropriate for the role

Success in the role requires:

patience, intelligence, analytical skills, determination, creative vision, an ability to communicate that vision to a broad base of stakeholders, personalities, and people in a variety of role types.


Aspects of this role can be very technical, so good knowledge of IT is an advantage, but understanding business process and business operational structure is just as important.

You must be hard working and dedicated and have a willingness to never stop learning.


An over inflated ego and negativity is checked at the door and replaced with patience, dignity, self-respect, and respect for others.


Responsibilities

You will have three main responsibilities:

  • Achieving your OTE by hitting your sales target every quarter.
  • Representing yourself and the company with integrity and with the right values
  • Maintaining strong relationships internally and externally (key to 1 and 2)


As this role is about building relationships with clients, key to success is not single sales, but by maintaining and growing the relationship with multiple stake holders within a single client, leading to a breadth of offerings across the organisation, creating greater efficiency in delivery and greater value for the client.

Your sales target can be exceeded by building deeper, stronger relationships, within a few clients, when done right.


The role is SA based; however, we intend to open new markets at some point in the future, meaning that interstate travel may happen if you choose.


Experience


Our projects are business critical and of strategic importance which often results in more decision makers and stakeholders on a single procurement.

This complexity changes everything about the sales process, so if you have experience in complex selling (also called enterprise selling) that is great.

Most importantly, connecting on a human level with internal and external stakeholders is fundamental to success.

Sales is both a knowledge and a discipline and you need to possess both.

If the only sales methodology that you have experience in is Solution selling, that will be an issue, unless you are willing to learn, and learn fast.
