EOI - Airport Reporting Officer – ERA, Jabiru, NT

Are you an experienced Airport Reporting Officer (ARO) with the ability to multitask and provide exceptional customer service at remote sites?
Sodexo is seeking expressions of interest for an Airport Reporting Officer position at ERA Jabiru Village in NT. This role requires working Monday to Friday for 10 hours per day, which means you need to be based in Jabiru or willing to relocate there from Darwin.
What do our ARO's do on site?
Reporting to the Village Manager, you will assist with check-in duties, monitoring and answering the CTAF, compiling manifests, and maintaining aerodrome buildings and grounds. It's advantageous to have an Aircraft Radiotelephone Operator Certificate and experience in remote grounds and re-fuelling, along with exposure to F100 and F70 aircraft. Strong safety awareness, a safe work ethic, and flexibility to work various shifts and be on call are essential.
ARO responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Local Aircraft Ground support, including care flights
- Compiling Manifests and other administrative duties
- Conducting weekly and daily audits
- Emergency response duties
- Ground handling tasks like loading and unloading freight and baggage
- Passenger check-ins
- Facility cleaning and maintaining Aerodrome buildings and grounds
- Supporting other contractor departments as needed
Certifications:
- Hold a valid ARO Licence, CASA Radio Certification, Aeronautical Radio Operators Certificate (AROC)
- Current Manual Driver's Licence (Class C)
- First Aid Certificate
- Dangerous Goods awareness
- Australian Citizenship or full Australian working rights
- Ability to undergo pre-employment medical assessments, including drug & alcohol testing and police checks
