About the role


The Accounts Officer is responsible for ensuring the smooth running of financial aspects of the AMEB's activities on a day-to-day basis.

The role provides advice on income and expenditure and their relation to the annual budget, arranges payment of invoices, examiner and supervisor claims, arranges travel and is responsible for the processing of revenue as a result of enrolment fees.


The role involves providing a range of accounting services for the AMEB (NSW), including handling revenue collections, banking, and reconciling, preparing financial reports, managing examination fees, and issuing refunds following AMEB policies.

Additionally, the position entails supporting AMEB examinations by processing examiner salary claims and travel advances, as well as organizing payments to supervisors.

The job requires collecting and compiling information and preparing documentation according to quality and organizational requirements while adhering to NSW Treasury guidelines for end-of-year reporting.

The key challenges include managing multiple support activities within tight timeframes while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
