Job Description

Nine Radio is a division of Nine and owns and operates top-rating news talk stations 2 GB, 3 AW, 4 BC, 6 PR and a music network 2 UE, MAGIC & 4 BH.

The role of the Sales Executive - Radio is to work closely with the Group Business Manager with key tasks in achieving revenue targets for an assigned group of media agency's.

You will be the primary day-to-day contact for our media planners/buyers and ultimately responsible for delivering exceptional customer service to our advertising agencies and clients.


Responsibilities include:
Meet or exceeding your budget each month, quarter and year
Be committed to overachieving both your individual and the team's monthly revenue targets
Present a minimum of 5 weekly pro-active ideas and strategies to generate new business
Ensure key client/agency regular WIPs are conducted
Present relevant insights and innovative solutions to each of agencies and clients (new & existing)
Present new Nine Radio product launches as they are released to market
Creating targeted advertising schedules across all channels based on briefs received from clients or advertising agencies.
Work closely with the Powered team to deliver new and relevant opportunities for brands
Ensure delivery of post analysis reports to clients
Facilitate the sale of program sponsorships, sports sponsorships and spot packages
Ensure that the correct advertising material is delivered to the station in time for campaigns

Qualifications

This role offers an excellent progression in media (or supported by) working with some of Australia's leading media brands, as well as working in a rewarding fast-moving environment.


The ideal candidate will have:
Excellent communication and relationship management skills
Demonstrated 2 years experience within media sales
Ability to present to agency groups and construct excellent proposals, schedules supporting responses to brief and proactive proposals
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
Demonstrated organizational and time management skills
An appreciation of the market trading conditions and ability to negotiate trading discounts on casual business in conjunction with the Group Business Manager
Strong numerical and analytical skills
Intermediate Microsoft Word, Gmail, Excel, Power Point
