Your new role


Reporting to the Manager, Incidents, the Risk Analyst is a key member of the Line 1 Risk and Compliance Team in the Member Domain.

Providing the Risk and Compliance Team and key stakeholders with guidance and support on the end-to-end management of incidents. This will include conducting a thorough root cause analysis and assessments of incidents and breaches.

You will assist in identifying risk reduction activities, control enhancements and/or new controls that deliver balanced business outcomes and contributing to the continuous improvement of Fund processes and controls.

**You will need to be a strong independent worker in a dynamic and fast paced work environment.

Key duties include but are not limited to:

  • Working closely with Member, Risk and Compliance colleagues and incident owners to drive the timely completion of impact and compliance assessments.
  • Working with relevant stakeholders to conduct root cause analysis to assist in the development of appropriate remediation response plans.
  • Help the business identify and develop sustainable and commercial solutions for implementation that mitigate further incidents occurring. Provide general support and assistance to the Risk team as required.

What you'll need

  • 3+ years in Operational Risk, Compliance, Internal or External Audit, Fraud Management preferably in financial services.
  • Superannuation experience highly advantageous
  • Experience in incident, breach and/or fraud management highly desirable including the use of GRC technologies.
  • Working knowledge of risk and compliance frameworks including incident and breach management.
  • Good understanding of controls management practices including root cause analysis.
  • RG146 desired
  • Critical thinker with strong analytical and problemsolving skills. Including having a structured approach to problem solving and being able to communicate complex factual scenarios in an easily digestible manner.
  • Strong written and oral communication/ interpersonal skills with the ability to present ideas, perspectives, and issues to a range of audiences including nonrisk colleagues, 2nd line colleagues and senior stakeholders. Excellent stakeholder engagement and management skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships.
