About the role

This exciting opportunity will see you provide excellent internal and external customer service in meeting the financial accounting needs of BaptistCare.

Working closely with the Financial Accounting Manager and Senior Financial Accountant, you will provide support to the team by updating and maintaining home services client accounts, assistance with month-end journals, Identify and investigate opportunities for systems improvements and efficiencies, as well as any ad-hoc tasks assigned to you.

About you:

To be considered, you will have:

  • Formal tertiary qualification in Accounting
  • A minimum 3 years workplace experience in a similar role preferably with in aged care/At Home sector.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively and build key relationships
  • Demonstrated understanding of accounting functions, including complex reconciliation
  • Confident and skilled using Excel (e.g. VLookup, Pivot Table and etc.)
  • Sound experience in Financial Management Systems such as TechOne and AlayaCare
  • Practical understanding of year-end and month-end processes e.g. completion of journals, accrual accounting, management reporting, and variance analysis.
  • Genuine alignment to BaptistCare's values, mission and purpose.
