About the Team
The Capability Review team is a welcoming group within a reform-focused organization that houses the Workforce Planning Centre of Excellence. Our team revolves around live capability reviews, with a central coordination team providing administrative and procurement support. We maintain strong internal and external relationships for expert advice when needed.
About the Role
The Capability Reviews team at the Australian Public Service Commission seeks talented APS employees between APS4-EL1 levels for a temporary role in a high-profile capability review for the Australian Government's program. This role offers opportunities for short or long-term secondments, temporary transfers, or micro-assignments on a full-time or part-time basis. The duration is flexible to accommodate various needs and preferences.
This role is ideal for individuals curious about the inner workings of government departments and the broader APS functions. You will contribute to vital agency tasks and gain insight into future priorities and processes.
Working alongside a team of APS employees and senior reviewers, you will participate in various activities such as meetings with department leaders, workshops with staff, research, evidence analysis, and report drafting.
Skills and Capabilities Needed
We are looking for individuals who excel in team environments, show initiative, problem-solving skills, judgment, resilience, and integrity. Desired skills include project management, stakeholder engagement, workforce planning, policy development, research and analysis, workshop design, facilitation, and excellent writing abilities following the Australian Government Style Manual.
