An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Management Accountant to join a growing Financial Services firm located in the heart of Sydney.

This is an ideal role for an external auditor or business services candidate looking to make their first move into the Financial Services sector.

The role offers a competitive salary of $110,000 + Super and the chance to be part of a dynamic team in a newly created position due to the growth of the firm.

The successful candidate will have a variety of responsibilities including financial reporting, month-end duties, and financial analysis.

What you'll do:
As a Management Accountant, you will play a crucial role in driving the financial success of our client's organisation. Your day-to-day tasks will involve performing month-end close procedures, preparing management reports, and assisting with budgeting and forecasting activities. You will also conduct variance analysis to identify trends and opportunities for financial performance improvement. Additionally, you will engage in ad-hoc process improvement initiatives and provide support to the Finance Manager as required.

  • Perform monthend close procedures and reconciliations
  • Prepare monthly management reports
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities
  • Conduct variance analysis to identify financial performance trends
  • Engage in adhoc process improvement initiatives

What you bring:


The ideal Management Accountant candidate will bring a wealth of knowledge and experience from previous roles in Audit or Business Services.

Being CA/CPA qualified is essential for this role. A background in the Financial Services industry would be advantageous but not essential.

The successful candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, meticulous attention to detail, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
